I didn't come up with the rebrand idea from Nebullam to Clayton Farms, but... One of my biggest moments for chip-on-the-shoulder power ups was when a VC told me they didn't like the name, Clayton Farms, because it meant I had to live a squeaky clean life. Buddy, it's more like I'm betting my entire existence and face and bloodline on this working🐃

My first ultramarathon was 7 years ago. I literally finished in last place. My 23rd ultramarathon was 10 days ago. I finished in 2nd place. Compounding is beautiful.

After going through Y Combinator Winter 2019 batch, Danen and I survived losing a Co-Founder, 2 floods, 1 fire, a derecho, running out of money twice, a nightmare investor, and countless mistakes in almost every single category. Want to know how to survive all of that? Just don't quit. We just had our best net profit margin for the month of March at Clayton Farms Salads location #1 (Ames, IA). We've just secured location #2 (San Francisco, CA) and will open later this year. As of today (and for the first time since we started the company), the HQ team is only Danen and myself. Every other HQ position is now AI. This means we can double down on hiring the best operators and chefs at each and every Clayton Farms Salads location. What an incredible time to be a Farmer Founder.

My Dad turns the big 88 today! With the help of my mom, we tracked down details on his planes he’s owned over the years. I was then able to have blueprint inspired metal prints made of each one, down to their tail numbers. Some of my greatest memories with him include flying in a few of those planes. A few thousand feet up. Sun set. Cornfields below. Not a care in the world. Absolutely impossible to put a price on. 🙏
