I know that I want to personally nominate between 3 and 10 builders this month, and I would generally advise you to do the same Who would you nominate this month? Who do you want to attract attention to? Who has done a lot?

I am not sure if self-nomination is a thing here. 🤘😎 @nounishprof @adrienne I've been using @neynar studio for about two months now. I've been focusing fully on @farcaster -You actually can't even reach my miniapps from base app! I started building $ISLA Market specifically with Farcaster in mind. Before the browser extension there was no way to connect to the open sea. So I made a way to do something similar in function. It is an escrow held swap for base tokens and NFTs. My second and third miniapps are games designed to reward users who already hold certain NFTs. -For instance, if you own a chicken NFT you can play as the Chicken in the Chickens vs Demons miniapp and you can also play an exclusive game on Pirate Hub miniapp. (🏴‍☠️ NFT unlocks all games on Pirate Hub) I have a zillion more ideas from more generative NFT collections to games that will utilize them. As well as a few ideas on a new form of staking protocol that is almost entirely user dependent. (Very non standard) $Isla coin is a /mintclub coin using, as it's parent coin, a Zora backed coin named after the Island Of The Dead. My largest concern of nominating myself, is that it is not a @clanker . But I love the lore I've built into the coin structure itself. It shows you the blueprint for the utility and I made its use Farcaster specific and FID oriented... 🙏 If I am non-eligible for any reason tho, I would appreciate any form of feedback. 🙏🙏

Crowdsourcing some data to put into my Clanker 101 article. If someone were to ask you why they should use Clanker over a competing token launcher, what would be your top few reasons? Please throw some competitive advantages in the comments and I will select the ones that I feel align best with the rest of the article to include. I will even give you a shout-out in the conclusion (your @) to thank you for contributing your thoughts to this piece. Appreciate the assist.

One more clarification: there is no requirement that a grantee has to have a presence on Farcaster. We obviously have been focusing on FC builders in these first two rounds but I can imagine — and actually hope to see — that we would be rewarding Clanker builders wherever they are. With the B20 integration this will be even more likely. Ideally, we’d like those builders to come over here and become a part of this community as well even if it’s after the fact. So just because you aren’t familiar with a builder or they don’t have a big following here, doesn’t make them automatically sus.

GM. We’ve seen some recent discussions about how the Clanker Ecosystem Fund works, how recipients are selected, and the philosophy behind different types of grants. All fair questions. Rather than respond to individual threads, I wanted to share a bit more about how we think about the fund and answer a few of the common questions that have come up. A few principles guide our decisions: -- Our mission is to distribute protocol fees to creators and communities who positively contribute to the Clanker and Farcaster ecosystem. -- Different grants serve different purposes. Some recognize sustained contribution, while others are intended to encourage promising new builders creating momentum in the ecosystem. -- We intentionally use human judgment rather than rigid scoring systems. Reasonable people won’t always agree with every allocation, and that’s okay. -- We think in terms of the long-term health of the ecosystem and the overall portfolio of grants, not any single decision. There are far more deserving builders than we can fund in any given month, and we’ll continue refining our process as we learn. Below are answers to a few of the most common questions that have come up. As always, thoughtful feedback is welcome.

A reminder: there are 4 types of /cef grants: Builder, Sustainability, Activation and Fresh Clank. Fresh Clank is a clanker that has been recently launched and is an interesting experiment (or could be a meme that just pops off). See more in our original announcement below. Round 1 Fresh Clanks were @charmsai and @viniapp; round 2 was @airgap (nominated by the Clanker team). Some rounds there may be zero Fresh Clank grants. Go build something new/experimental/interesting and you too may earn a Fresh Clank grant!
