My favourite of the last 10 years is Terra Ignota trilogy by Ada Palmer. The 1st book is called โ€œtoo like the lightningโ€ and was nominated for the Hugo award. Ada is a history professor and has created an extraordinary future that is anchored in the past specifically the renaissance. Mystery, philosophy , its gold
