okay this book was obviously excellent, but I fear it may fall into the category of “book so eye opening and shocking it must be slop”

ex: Sapiens, Why We Sleep, Thinking Fast and Slow

so who has the obscure blog post or article that explains why most of the book is BS?

Thinking Fast and Slow = replication crisis

Why We Sleep was definitely a step in the right direction but went too far into the fear porn zone + statistical errors

Regardless, it made me really want better presidential candidates. 

Biden would take the 6 minutes to wake up / let the stimulants hit.

Trump would book it out of there to save himself before making decisions.

I just finished the Shawn Ryan podcast with Annie Jacobsen. One of the best he's had on his show in terms of getting me to actually consider reading the book.

Haven’t read this book, but from the reviews I’ve read, it’s (sadly) relatively well researched and credible. we’re only ever 30 mins away from full scale nuclear war (due to high launch readiness) and likelihood of nuclear use is higher than at any point since at least the end of the cold war.
