I went through and DC'd as many of the holders of the scam token who have a Farcaster-connected address to warn them. Apps like Interface link to the relevant token platform website where the token was launched so you can see who the deployer is, which helps so much. A scam account on Farcaster “@ clickersxyz” (extra “s” in there) launched a Clanker. Clearly a scam if you DD. Clicker isn’t a token.

I think in large part crypto didn’t “revolutionize” the internet to the degree that mobile did and AI is doing is because it’s financial tech and not general tech. Finance is slower to change. So you need grassroots speculation to build the foundation to onboard finance.

This doesn’t mean memecoins are going to become “real” assets. It means they provide the volume needed to build the trading tools (DEXs, apps, APIs, protocols, etc) necessary for “real” assets to come onchain. Classic “The next big thing will start out looking like a toy.”
