In Santa Fe: If you're into art installations that are weird theme parks, check out Meow Wolf. Also had great food at Joseph's Culinary Pub & Casa Chimayo.

If you're willing to drive north, you can ride horseback through a George O'Keeffe landscape tour at Ghost Ranch. I recommend this above the others. It's like being inside her paintings. Spectacular.

- Los Alamos (if you're interested in the Manhattan Project they do tours at the lab if you sign up in advance and there's also Bradbury Science Museum on the history of the Manhattan Project)
- Bandelier National Monument (if you're in Los Alamos area)
