re: the chain halt today, the team has identified and patched the root cause and a full post-mortem is coming.
all funds are/were safe. but a halt is not okay and we'll use this to continue to level up base as a platform for global, 24/7 finance. thank you for your patience.

Bit of a disembodied feeling here post acquisition. Coinbase alignment disappeared, Jesse hasn’t posted in 3 months. Who is Farcaster for?
Scrolled Farcaster for a good bit as I’m apt to do when relaxing.
3 observations that stood out:
1. Didn’t see a single solitary mention of coinbase’s update the system day; not a single one… and must have scrolled a good 15 minutes.

The difference between previous crashes and now is that there wasn’t a new asset class like AI that emerged between 2008 and 2022. Factor in rollback of pattern day trading rules and 24 hr stock trading, crypto not so novel or useful.

New Yorkers feeling like they’ve won the series but I’d put the odds somewhere around 50/50. I’m routing for the Knicks but I’ve watched enough of the Spurs this year to know they have some of that demonic 2025 Pacers energy and the series could easily be tied 2-2 going back to San Antonio.
