A recent quote for a study of a novel radioactive compound for breast cancer. This study involved less than 20 mice and is quoted at 170k A quote from a different CRO for making the non-radioactive version was 1/10th the price.

Pharma research logic is wild: CRO: "Giving mice an incredibly aggressive form of lethal breast cancer that kills in 3-6 weeks? No problem." Same CRO: "Intracardial injection? Whoa, better check with the ethics board." That's where we draw the line?

The FDA is so fucked, you could legitimately start a new country to administer your drug for the price of getting some of these new drugs approved in the US.

You know the FAA makes more rules every year to make flying safer for passengers. Airlines have to comply and pass this cost on to customers. Flying gets so expensive that customers opt to drive. Driving is way more deadly than flying FAA regulations kill more people than they save.
