physical commons (pastures, fisheries, forests) can be enclosed by physical force digital commons (software, networks) & their resources (media artifacts) are harder to physically enclose hwvr, a tradeoff: their gov/production can be acted on at a distance by external interests

Hmmmmm: digital commons are enclosed by hardware no? For example, Apple restricting access to specific web pages unilaterally on-device.
