Have there been any attempts at a social protocol where the content + accounts are open but the follow graph is not (it’s per app)? This would allow apps to 1) get engaging content and 2) keep lock in with their users - users build who they follow in an app and are less likely to leave bc the graph isn’t portable.

This is how Threads works today. They don't allow you to export the social graph. you can also introduce this into the existing farcaster ecosystem through client specific content for instance, DCs as they exist right now are a private social graph of sorts
