The two main critiques of @anoncast over the last day or so have been low quality posts and censorship. Hard problems with no perfect solution, so we're experimenting with the following:

On the @anoncast account:
- 5000 ANON requirement to post
- Posts can no longer be deleted (no censorship)

On Twitter / @anonbangers:
- 2M ANON requirement to promote (quality control)
- Posts can be deleted

If you've complained about censorship, you won't be anymore.
If you've complained about low quality posts, follow @anonbangers.

We'll see how this goes and iterate.

I get that, but worry that it might be cutting off growth over there. People over there are only getting a fraction of the experience. 

An automatic system to handle it sounds great

Just being a bit more conservative right now while figuring out the real solution. Ideally, the Twitter posts are governed by some upvote system and not controlled by one person’s will.

Why the extra high bar for twitter posts? Seems like it could be something lower and still be a good balance?

in general for social builders or platforms with user-generated content, this just shows why communities need mods in the beginning while working on tools to (auto-)reduce spam and highlight good content aka make discovery better.

imho every random community on Telegram or Discord "invested" in 2-10 mods (employees or community) but Warpcast channels have for no good reason ignored it and gave up when spam rose with growth.

If somebody needs to buy Anon on a Dex/Cex to pay for a post that's a big barrier in my opinion (with likelihood of doxxing though that can be prevented)

yeah all of this is going to change while we come up with the right mechanics, nothing is finalized. project is not even a week old and was never expecting this much interest lol. really appreciate your input, taking into account!

How does one verify that a post was actually signed by an account holding the required amounts? Do you share the proofs somehow?

good idea, but goal is to remove deletes and go to a weighted moderation system based on holdings

@slokh what do you think about having a minimum LP requirement for higher-level permissions like deleting posts?

Maybe in the future because it’s more involved to do it in a privacy preserving way

Are you considering a pay to post and burn mechanism? I could see that working. Ex: 30K anon threshold to post freely, if not 2k anon per post, and half of that is burned.

Are you investigating any privacy preserving reputational mechanisms for boosting? Something like private set intersection.

Is there anyway to limit the casts per wallet? It will make people to think better their cast and may improve quality

Is it possible to generate a proof that your account casted a certain cast?

Are these changes live now? I'm observing a lot of posts that used to be on the feed not existing anymore when I go back to check what's new.
