yea i think "easier" is probably the wrong frame, its just that the charset is bigger for sol so you can have cooler range of vanities

people do vanity addresses in eth land as well, just somewhat limited given the charset. lots of vanity 0x00000000 prefixes for example

don't think it's any easier, it just requires computational power and haven't had time to set it up (at least for our launcher @revealcam)

of course. same is true with ...pump, ...bonk, etc. the suffix isn't tied to any form of authentication. but the deployer can't be spoofed.

we keep a db of our jests as well so we can always cross-reference any suspect addresses.

Does this mean other people can launch fake jest suffix addresses?

Key grinding is literally built into the low-level functionality of the chain. 

I run a rust script nonstop to grind keys that end in jest for example. But even a simple typescript script could accomplish the task (albeit about 100x slower).

yeah, seems its more just about wider charset unlocking more customizable vanities

it's just as easy to mine addresses in ETH, but you only get limited characters. 

we could never do ...zora on ETH since only A is available.

base58 encoding

in eth land you only get hex, so no access to all alphabet characters like with solana.

it's one of the most subtle and coolest thing about solana addresses
