people do vanity addresses in eth land as well, just somewhat limited given the charset. lots of vanity 0x00000000 prefixes for example

don't think it's any easier, it just requires computational power and haven't had time to set it up (at least for our launcher @revealcam)

Key grinding is literally built into the low-level functionality of the chain. I run a rust script nonstop to grind keys that end in jest for example. But even a simple typescript script could accomplish the task (albeit about 100x slower).

base58 encoding in eth land you only get hex, so no access to all alphabet characters like with solana. it's one of the most subtle and coolest thing about solana addresses
