I appreciate my neighbors

One near me cut down cherries for me because he knew how much I liked them

He saw me today and I thanked him

He invited me to his back yard and together we picked a bowl of cherries

To be honest I’m not good with ppl doing me favors so I always feel awkward and don’t know how to say thanks

@geaux.eth I only remembered your lesson once I got home

But I need to remember that when ppl offer love it’s meant to be accepted and doesn’t need to be reciprocated in any way

So I appreciate that lesson

Plus I appreciate cherries 🍒 they’re fucking awesome

1) classic tv reruns for making me laugh like I’m a kid again

2) windows in car so I can roll them down and feel country air on my face while I drive

2) crocs with the fluff in them for keeping me comfy even in summer (tho it is getting a bit hot for them)

Twitter is mostly a hellscape, but every so often I see something there that fills me with joy. Thank you @boldleonidas 🤣 🤣 🤣

time for another backyard review. we’re looking at a property in Rancho Mirage, CA 🏜️ 

PROS:
- very nice and comfy seating arrangement under a cantilever. 
- pool loungers look gorgeous and comfy. 
- mix of earthy and wood tones brings out the desert oasis vibe. yellow pebbles are illuminating warm tones on those concrete slabs. 
- it’s a cactus paradise 🌵 nicely accented by the olive tree and small palm trees. 
- beautiful mountain views during golden hour ⛰️ 
- secondary detached bedroom has its own lounging nook. 

CONS:
- too many boulders. a boulder in the pool right next to the steps? come on. 
- concrete slabs around the pool are a bit small for comfortably walking around it. 
- no outdoor BBQ area in sight.
- no tables near the pool lounging area. drinking sitting on the hot concrete slab will melt very quickly. 
- that hot tub in the back is hard to access.

You see cool desert backyard with cactuses and a boulder in the pool.

I see adult designers who don't care or particularly like children.

Like, it doesn't have to be baby-proofed, but this is very much a "look but don't touch" vibe.
