Apparently 194 of my followers came from auto follow, a whoppin' 7%. How should we feel about a system that pushed hundreds of thousands of auto follows to some accounts, to bootstrap their local celebrity status? Is this a premine? π https://dune.com/chasesommer/farcaster-auto-follow

I told people last summer to cast in channels. People who casted in channels and got engagement got added to the list. 200+ people were in the pool.

It is what it is? The system will be judged on its "upward mobility" over time. If 5 years down the road Auto-follow ("Old Money") users will still be dominating the network that's probably a bad sign.

For me it's 13%, who knew π― But total the follower count is off by about a 400, probably they are the ones who unfollowed
