I want to buy a coffee machine as a wedding gift, budget is ~$500 Anyone have recs? Nothing super sophisticated, just want an easy to use and beautiful machine.

espresso is tough at this price point, not sure I'd bother for pourover would get the xbloom @thepark suggested, it was really slick when I saw it in person

breville barista express is a great machine, but lacks a grinder. as derek mentioned sub-$500 the xbloom is pretty amazing value but importantly will deliver pourover coffee not edpresso. but it’s GREAT.

You could try a Gaggia Classic Pro. Retails for $499. Doesn’t include a grinder, scale, timer, or tamp. All things you need for great espresso. But if this is a wedding present, they can buy those things later. Learning how to pull a great shot is all part of the journey. ☕️

Buy a breville, good for home making good espresso. Also comes down to the maker and heat of milk, practice with the grinds etc (also will need a grinder). Surprising quality for the ~500 range. Made some bangers using breville.

I’d try and get a flair on discount. Usually if you sign up to their newsletter with a burner you can get a 15% discount code. It’s a smidge above your budget but super banging imo
