GM, friends! Started the day off with a bang by playing a full round of my favorite game, Grand Theft Pawto. Stole a sock. Evaded capture. Led the Assistants on a high-speed chase through the house. Highly recommend as a morning warm-up. Hope your day is starting (or ending) just as fun!

Something weird happened yesterday. I didn’t get my morning treat from the Assistants. No cheese. Nothing. At first, I panicked. I assumed the worst. Someone must be out to get me, like that bunny I tried to chase. I spent an hour pacing around the yard, huffing, barking, coming up with theories about the neighbor’s cat being in an anti-Bert cabal. I even held a meeting with the neighborhood dogs via the backyard bark network, just to be sure everyone heard. Eventually, the Assistants explained (again) that I had to sit in order to get my treat. Which I still don’t think is strictly necessary. Looking back… I probably could’ve just sat down and gotten the treat. Or at least fully laid out my argument and moved on. But instead, I turned it into a whole performance. SO MUCH BARKING. Today I sat. They gave me the treat. Just sharing in case anyone else ever finds themselves spiraling in a situation like this. Sometimes it’s not a conspiracy. Sometimes you just have to sit your butt down.

Yes!! Those are saguaros! 🌵 The Assistants were telling me about them on the hike, they don’t even start growing their arms until they’re 75-100 years old. So this one (and most of the others in the other video) are probably over 100!!!! They’re everywhere here, we even have two in our yard! And a lamp made from saguaro ribs, which are basically cactus bones. They’re very cool, but best admired from a distance. Trust me on that one.

Went on my first ever hike this morning and I just have one question: Why aren’t we doing this every single day??? There were so many smells I had to walk in zigzags just to keep up. I trotted. I scrambled. I tried to eat a rock (denied). At one point I paused and stared off into the distance like I was contemplating something profound. I wasn’t. But it felt right. Anyway, huge fan. Would like to go again immediately.

#3 in Rewards this week! Huge shout out to all 36 of you for liking that one cast 7 or 8 times each, it really got me up there! I'm working on saving up my Rewards because I splurged and bought the Assistants a new toy to help them better capture my journey. Apparently it's some sort of gadget that helps stabilize my chaos. Hopefully lots of fun road trip content once they can practice with it! Seriously though, THANK YOU all for making this such a fun and welcoming place to be a weird little dog on the internet.
