I think farcaster is undergoing the first wave of "normification". lots of new accounts here aren't in crypto (at least not as deep), aren't SV/NYC techies and posting primarily about lifestyle. this is: - great for farcaster. the new wave of content is more relatable to the majority of people, and it will attract that majority - it's essential for the next stage of growth - possibly unfortunate for early users, who came for the niche vibe (crypto, founder, ethereum, etc) up to the algorithm to reconcile this

it’s algo or channel support And likely both, don’t wait to hit rock bottom before we consider niche needs and a non-celeb driven platfoem

I think it's great. You can still find your niche in channels. 200 $degen

Where are you seeing these new users show up? Would love to see more new users but sub-graphs here feel so segregated sometimes

I think the casual use of a slur (“normies”) to talk about people joining Farcaster is an easy way to make new peple feel like their time could be spent more productively elsewhere
