One day after a long run during the warmest day in Berlin. I am still tired but had a speed session today. It is much better than yesterday but still warm and moist. Workout was - 15' warmup - drills - 8x (200m fast, 90" slow jog) - 3' slow jog rest - 8x (200m fast, 90" slow jog) - 10' cooldown

crazy how expensive running shoes are now, just saw that a pair of pegasus, what's considered nike's historic flagship running shoe, retails at $135 on their own site today i started running back in 1999, not very competitive and just because i got cut from jv soccer, and so have been buying at least 2 pairs of running shoes a year for the past 26+ years still remember being able to get decent pairs of nikes, adidas and mizunos for $40-60 a pop, the most expensive model i can recall was the asics gel kayano, which was like the "yuppie" runner shoe for $100 mainly because of big cushioning (at the time, this style was only just starting) and seeing people now casually jogging in super shoes that retail at $200+, i'm surprised how high the financial ceiling for running has become, especially as the lowest price point i saw on nike ($85) didn't seem like a decent pair at all

Warmest day of the year but early enough in the morning. Still going from water fountain to water fountain to be able to hydrate sufficiently. - 75' @ 05:30 pace - 15' @ 04:55 pace

Due to the mild flu like symptoms Lukasz asked me to skip today but I felt so much better in the morning and it was actually not as warm as I feared. So I adjusted the threshold session to something in between ... Substituting threshold with faster than tempo pace and still putting in a faster workout . - 15' warmup - 3x8' fast- tempo, 2' slow - 10' cooldown Ate granita coffee afterwards πŸ˜„
