I carry Gatorade plus use aid stations. Most people just rely on aid stations but I had a bad experience so now I also carry my own. I try to drink 2-3 oz every mile—had to do some trial and error to figure out what works best.

I’ve only ever done 1 threshold OR 1 interval each week, plus long run. So my plan is to start doing both threshold and interval each week and hopefully that will accelerate my progress.

I think being a founder is an incredible blend of strategy and creativity. Often times at big companies the work is about optimization, less about creativity. I genuinely enjoy both and have the opportunity to do both every day.

I reviewed all of them and settled on Beehiiv—best at growth and monetization out of the box. But Mirror/Paragraph clearly have better web3 function (NFT gating, etc) and Substack has great embedded community.

My wife saw a guy wearing goggles while walking his dog. Wife: “Why’s that guy wearing ski goggles?” Me: “Oh that’s the Apple Vision Pro, everybody’s obsessed with it right now…” Then we got closer. Turns out he was actually just wearing ski goggles. 😂🤷‍♂️

💯fwiw, I had similar thinking but ended up hiring CTO as contractor (even with significant equity) after we spent $1500 to talk to an international employment lawyer. But circumstances vary 👍

Hey Brian! I use Remote & Gusto. The high price at Deel is when you use them for Employee of Record. If you hire as Contractor, price is much lower. At one point I spoke to a NZ law firm about EOR vs contractor and Contractor was better for us and our hire. Just depends on the work. Feel free to DM with questions. 👍
