ok, got in a mile time trial this morning. got a loooooot of work to do to get to 4:56 on the plus side, i haven’t done any interval training and have been low mileage and inconsistent in training. hoping for some easy gains to make up some portion of the 1:10+ gap 😅 hope you fare better @ahn.eth 💪

What’s your plan to get faster? I’m about 6 flat also right now, mostly focused on longer distances. But would like to get my mile time down.

i’ve been off steady training for about 4 months now, so a big part of it is consistency of at least 5 runs per week with one threshold and interval session each week threshold will need to get to 5:50-6 for 20 minutes (rn ~6:50) haven’t started intervals yet, but mix of K’s, 8’s and 4’s. maybe some 2’s

I’ve only ever done 1 threshold OR 1 interval each week, plus long run. So my plan is to start doing both threshold and interval each week and hopefully that will accelerate my progress.
