I'm not advocating anyone to have this experience at all but in a way I'm actually grateful I had such an intense experience working in tradfi starting off my career since it made me really appreciate how great tech culture can be e.g. had to be in office each day 9am-11pm way underpaid for hours, manager would regularly call me stupid if I couldn't solve a PhD level math problem he tested me on, among many other things. So when I went to Coinbase directly from this culture, it was surreal they actually cared about people and I felt like a rescued puppy

Lmao 1000%, this is how it felt after my time at Yelp doing cold calling ad sales - it was such a toxic culture, in both good ways as well as bad, but it also made me a beast at sales for my future roles ๐Ÿ˜ค๐Ÿ”ฅ
