I think it gives EU access to trading US stocks they otherwise couldn't?

I don't think foreign stocks are accessible throughout the globe. Plus most brokers have lengthy onboarding even if they allow.

seems rational ~ - decentralized is one play for businesses now (eg facebook x threads x mastodon derives). - itβs a new distribution and revenue channel w unique characteristics (look at base or ton) - they anticipate crypto will grow then more folks have it and can spend it. - they want to get more people to buy so they are offering it as a way to pay and as things to pay for (chain, not just their centralized database) - ultimately will be under the hood.
