this is why trading is the worst vertical that crypto companies could invest in if they want a product with mass adoption (RIP Farcaster Q4 2025 pivot)
but because "number go up" is the easiest application to understand, the industry keeps trying to make it happen
a tiny sliver of the human population (not just crypto bros) will trade anything that moves with volume
the average crypto bro just wants to buy something, hold it, and sell it if it goes up (hopefully)
most people are not actively trading and people vastly overestimate how important it is to the culture
