Farcaster is one of my most-used Web3 products. Safe to say Dan and Varun have built something really solid, both in terms of the product and the community. Big shoutout to them!

Excited to share that Neynar is acquiring Farcaster from Merkle.
This means we will now maintain the Farcaster protocol, run the Farcaster client and operate Clanker. As part of this change - @dish and part of the Clanker team will be joining Neynar.

I think one major point many VS Code forks overlook is that developer experience is just as critical as the modals you provide. A good model alone won't cut it if you are working on a huge legacy codebase. If the editor lacks features to improve the actual coding workflow, it isn't helpful. Otherwise, it might as well ...

Was prompting the @neynar AI miniapp about some Farcaster account related stuff and the response had a random Discord server link claiming to be an FC server.
Afaik there is no official Farcaster Discord and not sure where the LLM got it from.
Flagging this in case it appears in other FC-related queries.

This is probably the first time I am seeing DeepSeek being discussed in TL after they just vanished post the initial hype.
Elon Musk explains this well in a video where he explains first principles thinking. He talks about how part of it is to delete anything that doesn't directly serve a necessary function.

Did @metamask change the "View on Explorer" button in the latest update? It now always takes me to the mainnet Etherscan page with the multichain tab open, regardless of the link shown on the button or the active network. This won’t work for testnets and n/w not tracked under Etherscan.

Feel the speculative nature of the collectibles/tokenized casts model means more value flows to high-profile accounts with existing reputations, unlike the tipping model.

Using the PWA on Android is a pain. Wallet connection fails most of the time.

This is so nice! @baseapp.base.eth shows a Farcaster logo if the username is an fname, and a Base logo if it's a basename next to tagged usernames. Clean little UX!

Tried sharing a post from @baseapp.base.eth it started with wallet.coinbase.com/post/<postid>.
But when clicked, it opened the Smart Wallet PWA instead of The Base App. Bug?
We need more browsers. A lot more L1s. Even more L2s. And maybe a few more AI code editors too. Fork the hell out of everything.

People don’t realize how a sneaky design can bring some extra revenue.
I once accidentally signed up for the annual plan instead of monthly because it was selected by default and I didn’t notice (this is probably entirely on me btw).
Also probably exactly why they thought about this rule.
+1. Also think AI integrations like X's "Explain this post" button should be a first-class part of Farcaster, or at least available as a plugin, like a composer action.
Feels like something that’ll get adopted by a lot more social apps soon.
One of Twitter’s super powers is its search functionality. Farcaster’s search is offloaded to third parties rather than being a first class part of the client. That’s a shame. Bouncing a user out of the app feels like a big consumer no no.

One shift in my reading behavior after AI is I no longer read all the interesting articles I come across. For most, I just use AI to generate a bulleted summary. In fact, I built a Chrome plugin for this earlier. Now I’ve switched to Dia browser and use a command shortcut made with the Skill feature.
