Some things never change! I built an authenticated data store over 20 years ago in support of this work: https://t.co/heLyPThguT ...and was disappointed I wasn't able to take it any further at the time. Now this kind of tech is more pertinent than ever.

More special purpose AI chips being put into practice, this time for inference (whereas TPUs seem mostly for training?). Can't bode well for NVidia unless they have some specialized chip designs being cooked up.

Watching the video of this dude clumsily trying to cover the Nest cam with shrubbery suggests indeed he has no idea what he's doing. The only surprise is why he's not in prison already.
