I find it fascinating that if you move from drive to reverse in a Tesla or any other electric car for that matter, it’ll say that it’s shifting gears And then I realize, this is an electric car there is no transmission. There are no gears. Language starts to get out paced by the technology but we still continue to use the words because they describe the reality that we used to live in

I taught my daughter to drive in a Tesla and I would yell at her if she didn’t fully have the car stopped when changing from R to D, but it doesn’t actually matter, you can change directions even if the car isn’t fully stopped
