Growing up i hated strawberries One time I asked my mom if she knew why, and as a toddler she said at one point I got so consumed and obsessed with strawberries to the point that I would only consume strawberries and ate way too much in one sitting that I started throwing up after the meal. After that I stopped eating strawberries I wonder how much I’ve actually changed

Same story, but with chocolate. Mom and dad owned a convenience store and apparently I pestered them for chocolate so much, mom got fed up and put a bowl of chocolate in front of me and told me to have at it. I also got pretty sick after it and my body now has a shut-off valve wrt chocolate. Two pieces and I’m done.

wowow trauma persists Strawberries are my absolute favorite food; sweet and bitter and juicy. But I never quite did that as a kid. My school did take us strawberry picking; and I did eat more than I brought home. It was so easy to pick & eat versus put in my bucket.

I did this with junior mints. I love chocolate. I love mint. But to this day I can’t touch the combo

The taste patterns and relations coupled with past events are so unreal. But I think as we grow up there are some things that come back and make an entirely new appearance and create a new reality.

if we're being honest, strawberries don't taste half as good as they sound strawberry flavoured anything tastes better than the actual fruit

Funny how the body remembers what the mind forgets. Makes you wonder how many other things we “grew out of” because we just once had too much of a good thing.
