yeah, just a lot of shilling with nothing to back it up. obviously @jacob and co. have a thesis, but seeing a lot of folks hyping up “content coins” as the future of creator monetization that didn’t have an opinion a week ago lol

zora made this transition actually months ago tbh , they kinda polished it up now and optimized for liquidity

wdym by all-in? proliferating the model without a thesis of their own?

so are you not sure about their marketing / langauge around it or their tech / infra changes

i think this is the disconnect i am having when discussing this with others

framing, and thus implied behavior 

we are not longer collecting to support, we are buying a share to speculate — that language alone will have implications. still trying to decide if i think that’s net good or bad, but it’s significant enough that we shouldn’t blindly adopt

I agree. There’s a lot to consider, especially within the behavioral and psychological aspects, imo.

Zora been lacking discovery for a while, having a separate product not integrated with farcaster destined to fail unless they bring highest quality celebrity kind of people out there with exclusive content which is not happening obviously 

From swapping txs only real degens can discover it and speculate on it extracting money from inexperienced buyers

Agreed. And discovery on Uniswap will be almost nonexistent. Until we have a discovery layer, there is no reason that I can see to move forward on Zora right now.

Sounds like they’re targeting outsiders but it’s too complex of a revenue stream and discovery on zora is not existent

i just think of it as a way for artists to get their name in more wallets

why people seem to think this means 1/1s and limited collections are worth less. they should be valued more efficiently now innit?

There used to be zero focus on art though. No ability to even index an event coin. For example, no mechanism to search for 2025 ETH Denver posts.

1155’s and 721’s are too clunky for normies and will be for some time. Currency will be easier for adoption.

My thesis : 
-not everything has to be a stock market 😎
- It's a degen product not a large public product 
- it's good to see new experiments, even if I don't feel like jumping into this one
