My only feedback is that as a onetime J-school student raised on the Canadian Press style guide, the Oxford comma hurts my soul 😂 Otherwise though, very thorough and helpful guide and I have shared with our /thenounsquare team. I particularly loved the sections on consistent tone and voice — so many brands don’t prioritize this and it’s v important. Oh, and I will just reiterate that it is somewhat inconsistent that the @base.base.eth wordmark is AllCaps while the editorial prefers “Base”

Thank you for sharing this Jesse, it's very detailed and helpful! Quick question please, is it acceptable to use 'based'? For example: '/base-my is based' or 'so based' (more so in a casual post or dialogue, and not so much in a press release)

“Use of the word ‘onchain’ instead of ‘web3’ or ‘crypto’” Wouldn’t the use of the term imply that everything is onchain instead of having web3 define where we exist? I say this due to many of web3 not actually being fully onchain?

I would like to provide some suggestions regarding the voice and tone of the Base Editorial Style Guide. By definition, the word 'base' can also mean 'foundation' or the underlying structure of a building or other things. In the Base Editorial Style Guide, there is not much emphasis on this aspect. However, people will correlate Base with foundational elements, especially at first glance. Suggestions for additional points on voice and tone. Voice - Should convey expertise and reliability. - Passionate advocate. - Security conscious and transparent. Tone - Motivating, uplifting, and optimistic.

I understand avoiding USD pricing for global audience reasons, but using ETH feels a little contrary to rule 3 (avoiding technical terms). Outsiders might not even know what ETH is, much less how much it's worth. Any ideas how to resolve the issue?
