i actually want to see a really strong leader take the helm and steer a digital society in an optimal direction. decentralization happens over time since a new society is required to cooperate at a high level and it won’t attract capital unless its policies optimize for wealth creation and protection of its citizens. coordination costs of a decentralized system are too high in the beginning and it will just collapse under its own weight or from freeloaders that siphon all of its value to themselves. doing the right thing requires pissing a lot of people off.
