i walked almost 20 miles in manhattan yesterday & i must say, the city feels homogeneously bad the ENTIRE city felt like a penn state frat party; like there were girls picnicking in tompkins sq in dior & st. marks looked like newport i’m so sorry nyc; i promise not all of us are like this 😭😭

I've never felt the class disparity as bad I did this recent trip The city has separated into: 1) trust-fund bourgeoisie larps 2) run-down service class that puts up with 1's bullshit Felt it most acutely taking the L into manhattan on Friday evening and taking the L out to queens on Sunday morning. Same train, very different people

i’ve lived in & out of manhattan for almost a decade now & have never seen it THIS bad it was truly gross; i had a visceral reaction walking down the west side & thought it would be better coming up the east… my lord… it used to be contained

we have the same in London. Most "posh" parts in West London now feel so catclysmically boring or disgusting. Like identikit fashion, cars for 8-9 fig net worth bozos. Glad I live in a forest
