My own fault at the end of the day. 

Yeah the freezer had a speaker. No it doesn’t play any warning sounds. So I am salty at the manufacturer a bit too — but my responsibility to check. 

Buying a freezer alarm off Amazon and adding a stick-on child-lock latch to the side just so I have the mental check of “locking” the freezer moving forward.

Sadly yes. It’s all “re-freezing” now but none of it is safe to eat. I checked a few items and all were above 40 degrees internally. 

So just freezing for storage until trash day. Womp womp.

I think when I last shut it I let it swing shut and it must have “bounced” and then come to rest not all the way sealed. 

Adding a child lock and freezer alarm moving forward to try to prevent.
