My own fault at the end of the day. 

Yeah the freezer had a speaker. No it doesn’t play any warning sounds. So I am salty at the manufacturer a bit too — but my responsibility to check. 

Buying a freezer alarm off Amazon and adding a stick-on child-lock latch to the side just so I have the mental check of “locking” the freezer moving forward.
