My take after thinking on "Merkle doesn't listen to its users" is that if you put the work into your request, they will help you. Same thing for Base.

When we have asked for something, the team has helped/documented/prioritized that thing.

Can't think of anything they haven't done for us or outright ignored.

not going to wade deeply into this discourse except to say that the average Farcaster user has way more access to the founders and team (perhaps insanely more) than any other platform I can think of or anywhere I've worked. we say "tag us on the TL" because that's where we are. paradoxically, this can make it worse.

I respect the work and efforts, you all at Merkle are doing and I don’t take it for granted in the slightest way,  but a lot of users complain and you guys aren’t answering them enough. There is a feeling of satisfaction when users get feedback from the team that a situation is being looked into. 

Truth is people just feel comfortable being heard, that’s why I said a community support system to relay, maybe a PR committee or something, that simple “on it” is enough to make any user feel better and still stay on the app, you aren’t prioritising jt, but because you said “on it” the user is staying.

Just this week when Dan casted about bugs and 100 USDC to the best reply, someone in the comment gave like “keep your money, solve the bugs”. If someone had been saying okay to his casts, he won’t be that rude. 

At the same time, I know you can’t please everyone, but this can please a majority, and it is far better for the company.

Hence the reason for a community support service, a bug channel has been done, but the community support service will greatly help with the communication between Merkle and Users

yeah I can't imagine the amount of noise yall wade thru on the regular

desktop wallet UI has cut off charts (~1/10) the length and cut off toasts

extremely difficult to copy multiple messages from group chat, copying text in general is very hit or miss

On desktop

- messages need manual browser refresh even after red notification icon is visible
- farcaster wallet charts are all 1/4 length of wallet screen
- farcaster wallet toast messages are all cut off on both left and right

I've been trained not to expect anything from dan's casts, but I feel pretty strongly that legitimate answers should ideally get some form of acknowledgement of receipt. never expect perfection and I could try harder to be more comprehensive, but my hit rate seems lower than it should be

On the one hand, completely agree that average user has a lot more access than average.

As an individual user experience though, it feels bad to respond to a request for feedback thread with screenshots or detailed description and not even get a like (which imo is like a read receipt when it comes to feedback)

will not disagree, you guys are actually pretty responsive and awesome. it reminds me of the old days of twitter (or maybe i had an upperhand in knowing team odeo too). or actually, frankly, facebook. keep it up (even if i dont get replies from all of you, i do from some of you!)

I think if I aggressively nag people I can probably get them to get back to me but generally find the access is less than a web2 dev tools team.

I would say so. There seems to be a great mix of intellect and art. There seems to be minimal brain rot but a lot of ai generated puzzles too.
