As an investor or trader, I think about tokens relative to their market potential It's interesting to see @zora create a hierarchy of markets in the way they've integrated tokens into their platform. In order of market potential it's Platform > Creator > Content I will likely value a platform token ($ZORA) more than I will a creator token on the platform ($JACOB) Taking it one step further, I will likely value a creator token ($JACOB) more than a content token ($HORSE) The market for a platform is likely larger than the market for a creator. The market for a creator is likely larger than a market for a piece of content. There'll likely be a few exceptions but generally this is the way I think about it. With this in mind, I think it's generally smart to size your investments according to market potential of a particular market. For content, maybe it's worth investing $0.25. For creators, maybe it's worth investing $10. For a platform, maybe it's worth investing $100. This is an elegant design for connected markets with a platform, creators and content. Very interesting experiment that hopes to catalyze a new behavior from creators (tokenizing content) Zora's market cap is currently $26M ($85M FDV) but the market potential for a platform to tokenize creators and their content is definitely larger than that. I'm paying close attention to see if the market potential for creators tokenizing their content grows because I think that if growth of creator markets and content markets picks up then it will all ladder up to $ZORA. It's a new behavior and

It's a new behavior and I'm excited to see if it catches on with more creators, especially creators with an existing following that may look to tokenize their content as an alternative way to monetize.** (Hit send a little too early)

I think the older Zora model worked better at the current number of users, this new model requires substantially more active daily users, no one is minting right now. From a photographers perspective i found the old zora model a great platform for free mints and affordable editions, but this new tokenized model is terrible for us artists, since one can only hope for a handful of transactions which is basically nothing.

I think the market sizing argument is there for sure, it is something like a TikTok type opportunity imo. I personally think Zora's execution is poor and Base's bullposting it won't help either, so looking for another model/platform to nail it for creators, something with a much cooler UX/UI.

My strongly held 2c about this: *Most people* aren't traders, have no interest in trading, and will never make money from trading Financialising social media is interesting but the token trading form factor ain't it. It has to be radically simpler or it will never grow

The platform should do best when it gets adopted. Creator tokens are a Blackbox bet currently as we don’t know how These Tokens will be used by different artists. Content coins should prob be on avg much lower than creator tokens but some can become standout tokens and have a long life

Given the propensity to pivot so often, I will hold off any $ZORA investment. when we're in the throws of the next obvious bear, if Zora is still committed to the hierarchy you've outlined, then I think it'd be a great time to invest

$ZORA could have ignored the airdrop they conducted. the platform is quiet and looks deserted. only few creators are earning/benefiting off the platform i think nfts era marked the peak for creators ability to earn. building a product with a well executed pmf is better than over incentivization. about a week ago, they launched creator coin, where creators can earn $op but when i check the stats, it’s the same set of creators earning or maybe it’s being gamed, idk but i think $zora can not attain half of its previous ath ever again, both mcap and fdv

Really thoughtful breakdown makes total sense to size positions by market scope. Curious to see if creator/content tokenization really gains traction and funnels value back to $ZORA.
