Bringing stocks onchain is like bringing newspaper online. A skeuomorphic transition that ultimately is surpassed by something more native online newspapers --> social media tokenized stocks --> ???

I agree, totally think it can be valuable to have a programmable asset and incentivize stakeholders with new tools but shareholder structure, typical mediums, traditional business models are very strong and in place. Much more room for exploration, onchain capital formation, new structures, new business models, new stakeholder relationships when started onchain.

It’s a good question, I think we see a lot of the onchain capital allocation mechanisms get applied more and more to markets on and offchain, as finance is further democratized and decentralized. The tokens and liquidity matter, along with novel onchain allocation mechanisms that are seamless and easy to use for networks of different sizes

🔥 Great analogy. Just like social media didn’t just digitize newspapers but reinvented communication, onchain assets will go far beyond tokenized stocks. We’ll see truly native financial primitives emerge.
