Basics and layers to mix and match! Keep the colors in the same tones (warm, cool, neutrals) and a really good pair or walking shoes

layers and wearing heaviest stuff onto plane which you can take off, travel size umbrella or a lot of hotels will have an umbrella you can borrow (as a former nomad with a backpack in both snow and desert)

layerrrs, with some inspiration from ultralight backpacking people. ex officio style underwear is nice because you can swim, they dry fast, easy to wash. patagonia r1 style hoodie layers very nicely. add light rain shell for rain days and wind. hiking shoes and water friendly sandals.
