Gonna do 3 weeks in Costa Rica & 2 weeks in Nairobi. Any recommendations for food and activities? I love local food, matcha, coffee, pilates, seeing animals in the wild. I hate mosquitoes - they are drawn to me, so pls do not suggest staying in a treehouse.

Have a wonderful trip. Here are some recs for Nairobi, I was recently there Let me know if you want neighborhood recs. 1. Nairobi National Park - you can see many different wild animals close to the city. 2. Giraffe Center feed giraffes & glimpse Giraffe Manor without having to stay there 3. Elephant Orphanage pet and support baby elephants Slate Kitchen & Bar: French Afro‑Asian fusion by The Food Library’s chef (who now heads several sister restaurants) Connect Café (near Uber office) good lattes, they have match, chill vibe, good place to work. Crave Café - brunch spot Barista & Co (Westgate Mall) cozy coffee shop. Nice mall there and they have restaurants

Santa Teresa in Costa Rica is one of my favorite places in the world it’s a bit more out of the way (most people take a 30m hopper and then a ~40m taxi) but it’s so beautiful and worth it. the food there is also shockingly good you can surf every day, there’s cute local shops, awesome fresh Asian-central American fusion seafood, yoga retreats, smoothies, rent ATVs to drive around and see wildlife can add more specifics too if you’re curious!

In Costa Rica: - Monteverde - Arenal (hot springs) - Guanacaste (my favorite beach is Avellanas — you can stay in Tamarindo as it offers more options). If you go, don’t miss out on Villa Deveena their food is amazing - Puerto Viejo and Gandoca are also amazing on the Caribbean side - Rio Celeste is incredible - try to avoid San Jose there’s a lot of traffic and not so many things to see. The jade museum is nice Feel free to DM if you need more recs

For Costa Rica: I loved La Finca Azul - homestay on a goat farm (baby goats available for playing with and one of the owners is a chef) La fortuna area for hot springs (there’s a free hot river to soak in and plenty of hot spring resorts) Cloud forest area is great too for wildlife: sloths, hummingbirds

I’m from Costa Rica!! 🇨🇷😍 must: Volcán Arenal 🌋 the hot spring will make you a new person 🤝 promise. The Caribbean, this is where I grew up, Puerto Viejo!! You must eat rice & beans or gallo pinto. Mosquitoes might be present ⚠️ Guanacaste is a win for all, anywhere from Nosara to Santa Teresa- quite popular and the sunsets & surf is INSANE. There’s other gems I can share if you have something in mind. Pura Vida!!! 🙏🏽
