ETH 1000:1 split is tough to do technically, but we can update our lingo (and all the tools) to start using a new denominator (like Satoshi instead of BTC).

what are the implications for Ethereum DeFi/smart contracts if such a split were to be conducted? afaik many DeFi protocols and smart contracts use fixed-point arithmetic rather than floating-point to handle ETH amount, etc.
