RH tokenized stocks v1 are a good first step. Crawl, walk, run. But the ultimate prize is a stockcoin — fully composable with the rest of crypto. Permissionless innovation. This is why there's so much demand for Tether and USDC.

The only way we can achieve $stockcoin rn is thru @clanker https://www.clanker.world/clanker/0xAB321B354e92744A396b5c4c9307D14e4FCF2B07

If only someone was solving this problem. On the USDC side I think there is misinformation out there. For a stablecoin issuer they only have to kyc at onboard/redeem. If you are a payment processor those same rules may not apply. Here is Stripe crypto link asking to KYC me for $100 tx

My unrequested opinion: 1. Unregulated stocks will never happen. 2. Much of finance is every company technically reinventing their back end logic, so even if its smart contracts with walled gardens, you will eventually see tokens trading on architecture like Uniswap or @aerodrome outsourcing their trading logic to hyper efficient smart contracts. Coinbase is now floating trades on Aero too. 3. Good crypto marketing (Good for my bags). 4. Cypherpunks are stupid. Extropians were right. If the banks use our technology, its still step function increase in efficiency for humanity in transparency.

Yeah, it’s a good first step. But once we get fully composable stockcoins, that’s when things really take off. I am really looking forward to that shift.

Feels like this is CeFi distribution with a crypto wrapper .. great for onboarding retail users but fundamentally incompatible with DeFi’s permissionless ethos. However, the distribution power of Robinhood could help these tokens outcompete existing DeFi-native tokenized assets, despite their closed design....
