My unrequested opinion:

1. Unregulated stocks will never happen.
2. Much of finance is every company technically reinventing their back end logic, so even if its smart contracts with walled gardens, you will eventually see tokens trading on architecture like Uniswap or @aerodrome outsourcing their trading logic to hyper efficient smart contracts. Coinbase is now floating trades on Aero too.
3. Good crypto marketing (Good for my bags).
4. Cypherpunks are stupid. Extropians were right. If the banks use our technology, its still step function increase in efficiency for humanity in transparency.
