If your mini app has a Connect Wallet button, you're making your UX way worse.

The whole point of mini apps is that they "just work" on mobile. No Cheesecake Factory-style menu of wallets to choose from. 

Most Farcaster clients are wallets. Just use the wallet that is embedded in the client.

Building an app to work on FC and in browser. App Default behaviour is auto connect to fc and move connect button to the bottom of the page. In browser connect button is top right in the normal fashion

Would you suggest a different approach?

the docs are like super super bad for FC mini apps

Hard to do things like letting the user coin content created by a mini app to @zora using their canonical wallet for all onchain activity, or clank a token from their seasoned EOA wallet etc 

I agree with the that the UX sucks but we need to find a way to collectively get away from 

1 USER = 1 WALLET

We use viem with a bunch of injected connectors. Farcaster is on the list, but it seems like it’s not guaranteed to select the warplet.

Users reported addresses that were not their primary warplet. (And I saw this at Farcon first hand a few times)

what libraries were you using to connect to the farcaster wallet?
what does "it was the wrong one" mean?

We had a lot of problems when we deployed our app detecting the Farcaster Connector. People would show up and not know which wallet was connected (and sometimes it was the wrong one). Had a few convos telling people to disconnect and reconnect.

This is not a joke - I have verified it from my own experience

The sooner all those connect buttons disappear, the better

The reason we have this is because the Frames SDK library's autoconnect feature was prompting a super annoying pop-up outside of Farcaster Frame contexts.

So at firts users needed to connect everytime, idk what I did after some pushes but now it auto connects lol

though ideally you can check to see if there's already an active connection via eth_requestAccounts and if so just move right into a connect state

if you're using the miniapp wagmi connector it will automatically do this

It has one, but after the firts time you won’t need to click it no more.

why do i need a "connector" for my MiniApps -- can't you guys just use the injected connector instead so it works magically?

i think people are putting Connect buttons bc they are genuinely confused lol

@walletconnect is the death of web3. Works about 30% of the time but never before 30 seconds have passed.
