dropping the warp was such a relief for those of us who care about words i call us “birds” though the internet calls us wordcells it feels like a warped little weight has been lifted from our collective beaks and let’s not forget to do a post-mortem on this two year naming detour no birds ever enjoyed the name warpcaster all the birdcells (née wordcells) were up in arms yet the shaperotators the “cats” is what i call them (because they see with their eyes and pounce with paws on earth whereas we birds hear with our ears and speak with voice in air) pawsisted the next move that would please the birds (and they are the ones who drive word of mouth-doption) is to drop the “far” from caster and call this app CASTER caster is stronger and it sets up the name of the future COIN a clear verb $CAST @clanker Deploy a token named “CAST” with symbol 'CAST' and an image of content being cast by a skilled digital content sculptor in purple digital gold.

I want to talk about the form of the open ai x io announcement— because i think it discloses the new peripatetic paradigm for human content in the age of AI. Let's call it the L.O.V.E. Model L — Lyrically Not concise. Not clinical. The language is soft, poetic, weighted. Less explanation, more incantation. O — Orientated They through San Francisco, into Café Zoetrope. The story is about place and direction. This is peripatetic content—it moves to mean. It's practically a dialogic @walkntalk V — Voiced It's not what they say (what they say could be said in 10 seconds) it's the tone of their saying (for 9 mins). Redundant. Tangential. Emphatic. Slow. Filled with presence. ⸻ E — Emotion This overflows with emotion: awe, care, debt, admiration. Family. Friendship. It’s not subtle. It’s superlatively sincere. I continue to believe that the Walk n Talk is the signature form of content—peripatetiContent—on Farcaster, so i’ll continue making them when time permits. but i’ll whine…cuz it does take such a long time to caption these and post them. I really wish there were a simpler walk n talk user flow on farcaster. REMEMBER social media is all about the craving to connect with others and their ideas. not the desire to get paid.

while watching the Big Shift fireside chat between @fredwilson.eth and @dwr.eth i was struck by the moment when Fred said he had really nailed what VC was all about in a text he’d just sent to his friend, describing it as “very pithy, pretty memorable, and pretty good.” then he went into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and read: “Big wins in VC come from believing before anyone else and believing after everyone moves on.” It seemed so simple, almost like a chorus to a song. I realized it would make a beautifully plosive backronym: BBAEABAEMO babe‑ah‑mo bay‑bah‑mo And suddenly there it was— an edenic mythic beach where you paddle out early, wait through the lull, and still catch the second swell after the crowd heads home.
