Someone insulted another person that his English isn’t good. The guy replied: “you speak english because it’s the only language you know. I speak english because it’s the only language you know. We are different…” The only thing that has been going through my mind is that i hope i get to use that on someone one day.

I’m wanting to learn another language. Started a little bit of Spanish but we have been going to Portugal a lot recently as my wife has family there. Only thing is it wouldn’t be very useful anywhere else. It’s a tough call when your first language is English but don’t want to go my whole life being too lazy to learn another one

But usually, the people who make fun of our English aren’t even from English-speaking countries like the US or UK. In fact, I think native English speakers actually appreciate it when we try to learn their language, even if we make mistakes.
