We have an outdoor pool birthday party for my daughter planned this weekend, it's going to rain - what do you do?

Ok maybe I should have clarified the reason for the hesitation. Last year we tried this in our backyard - face painter, tents, all the things. Then torrential downpour started 5 minutes before the party.

Tent flew out of yard, paint dripping down faces, wet piñata in the garage, swarm of wet kids running throughout the house...

Maybe I have PTSD

Just go for it. Tell parents to bring umbrellas…the kids won’t even notice

Reschedule or change venue isn’t an option. We have a small shelter where the food and setup will be. Rain chances are mixed and keep changing.

I think we’ll go for it and just see what happens or who shows up

1. Embrace the rain 
2. How likely it is that it will really rain? How far are away are you from home?
3. Can you set up a temporary shelter?
4. Reschedule/ move to indoor pool

That will be a very difficult situation, I won't want to cancel because of my daughter

When it was super hot for our outdoor bday party, we set up 2 EZ ups and that did the job! I think it could suffice for rain as well if you need cheap EZ up recs!
