I've interviewed 100s of engineers across companies I've been. It's hard (at least to me) to codify the core skills I'm looking for in a rubric. I can best describe it as a "vibe check" and strict "fuck yes" requirement for hire reco. I've rarely been wrong after a "fuck yes".
