I basically got into to crypto to work on this, and my wife runs pilots around the world working on just this where I help on technical aspects. 1. Pay them a fair wage for respectable work 2. Give them the ability to save wealth in currently unavailable assets 3. Direct aid (cash transfers)

ROSCAs where the floated capital is invested for a safe yield and grows over a long period of time and is distributed after a very long time lock.

Giving them access to financial tools only available to richer people. Things like micro loans, insurance, savings, investments. Not worth it for banks to do it at small amounts, but a smart contract creates functionality and reach with low overhead.

Ok, there are prolly lots of charitable/iot/etc solutions, but real big picture, by bring more decentralization to the mix, perhaps alter or replace the systems that create poverty enabling conditions. Real real big picture with a touch of gummy vision eyes, creating Buckminster Fullers World Game onchain via a DAO of DAOs using Fractal Governance with Machine Intelligence. Ethereum could be the rails for that. @aethernet seems down tho

#1 is stablecoins bro; I can tell you that stablecoins alone has changed more lives than anything we have been able to build with DeFI and AI combined 💯 DePIN is another one that really excites me; though the footprint is still very small right now, it actually fits a solution for some of the problems that continue to keep people in poverty across the world. Rahul Gandhi said it best; "A rising tide doesn't raise people who don't have a boat. We have to build the boat for them. We have to give them the basic infrastructure to rise with the tide"

Crypto-based credit unions in rural areas. India has tried to put a State Bank of India in every town but they're not exactly seen as a well-oiled machine. We have the tech to enable communities to handle this themselves. More local engagement -> greater ability to serve local needs -> more funds for the community

One thing is indirect but directly impactful. All crypto (and AI) companies should paying workers in the global south fair and competitive wages and doing everything they can to assist and repair communities we are seeing in the Congo
