Thanks for hearing. I mean in my head I know not to be intimidated but I’m self conscious. I imagine for newer people like me, it might feel the same. 

This channel is big + degen multiplyer. Don’t know the answer and don’t know what you’ve tried. Maybe double down on muting/warning? Tipping good casts?

Really good for me to hear this, appreciate you sharing it. 
You of all people shouldn’t be intimidated to cast here. There’s just been a lot of bot and token farming activity which frustrates me.

Modding a big channel like this is really hard so far be it from me to tell you and the mods how to do it. I just want to share my perspective. I’ve seen so many rules/guidelines posts here, I feel intimidated to post at all

I think you’re right and we could probably take a more aggressive approach at banning people from casting in the channel, and if we take it too far we can always retreat a bit.

a lot of girl accounts who post pictures here are fakes and most probably will not read it

Our casts aren’t onchain. Just our user accounts (FIDs, identities) and social graph (followers).  Cast data, recasts and reactions are stored at the protocol level in hubs (distributed architecture, maybe why no edit ) but not on blockchain

Yeah, and one thing I wish that we had here was an edit button.. but I guess that doesn’t really work if everything is pushed on chain automatically

Prob too harsh, but what if for a few weeks we banned all images (be great if that could be done without the need for moderators, just make it so pics can't be added)? Do I like seeing some & adding, but i could live without. Also - I'd pay a fee if it meant it was more discourse focused again. Pay to enter?

I’m very curious as to what my own goals are on here.  Are they more views? Not necessarily.  Right now, I’d love more connections for knowledge.  I’d like to know if that falls into the general idea of what farcaster is worth. I don’t know.

Haha - it’s not about gender. If you grok it, you grok it. And all you need are loose norms,  not specific rules. 

I want to write more specific rules or guidance for everyone else but just haven’t prioritized it yet bc too busy with other work and stuff! Some day, some day.

for me, farcaster is a protocol, a protocol is a medium as mediated by individual datum and other media, and hence a tool-being upon which clusters of networks self-assemble.

...and, i like there are people who think this way in my mediated networks. cheers.

I wish I could agree… it seems though that a lot of culture of early Farcaster got DEGENed into farming. 

We’ll see how it plays out past the airdrop.

Why do you want more views? What are your goals or motivations for using farcaster?
