Protocols and primitives should be funded and maintained the way early internet and web protocols were. Universities were often stewards. Governments participated. Grants funded.
However, none (or very little) of it was done with capitalistic returns in mind. This is why VC-backed protocols are problematic.

I want to write a Go program that interacts with a remote IPFS client (kubo). Why is it so hard to find decent documentation that works? I'm not asking for complex stuff, something that shows how to upload a file, pin it, download it, using the kubo RPC interface.
(BTW, the interface documentation is so bad, it's as if the devs don;t want it to be used by outsiders.)
WTF, this is supposed to be a mature, infra project that other devs could build on.

are there any good ipfs explorer tools??(eg. put in a cid and see its content) have just been using explore.ipld.io so far
