I want to write a Go program that interacts with a remote IPFS client (kubo). Why is it so hard to find decent documentation that works? I'm not asking for complex stuff, something that shows how to upload a file, pin it, download it, using the kubo RPC interface. (BTW, the interface documentation is so bad, it's as if the devs don;t want it to be used by outsiders.) WTF, this is supposed to be a mature, infra project that other devs could build on.

are there any good ipfs explorer tools??(eg. put in a cid and see its content) have just been using explore.ipld.io so far

Something I realized building lemon3. Over the last couple of years I've searched again and again how to attach metadata to a file uploaded to IPFS. For example a mime-type, a client could use to decide if it wants to download the whole file or not. I have not found a satisfactory answer. But now I think that the answer is IPLD: A header (with all the metadata you want) linking to the actual content. You can share the header CID, you can recursively pin the header CID. And a client can fetch it, before accessing the main content.

devs I've spoken to seem to prefer arweave over IPFS because its more reliable and simpler to reason about; With IPFS sometimes your gateway doesn't have the data and the request times out, is really slow or fails entirely. Is there a solution to this that perhaps we don't know about?
