I’m not a fan of the crypto “gm” culture, it doesn’t add anything useful and just creates more noise for everyone

[I understand that it’s nice to be friendly and not everything needs to be serious but there’s a time and place for that]

I used to like gm but I now only see it as the lowest form of engagement in public spaces, especially Twitter and Discord servers.

All variants of “gm if you gm”, gmgmgm, or gm trains all make me die a little inside. I just imagine a wasteland of broken robots that are sentenced eternity to gm each other.

i confess that i was going intro groups just to say gm last cycle

it was kinda a daily 'check in', but yes, every trend has its time, it was fun tho

gm always seems to be like waving to someone on the other side of the street or a nod as they walked by - a reasonable way to act by impersonal and a dead end

Extending gm to ‘gm_today_I_am_ ‘ and  sharing your plans for the day seems more like stopping to chat and an invitation for a conversation

gm can only be a way to greet people but not something you say and disappear lol

Well SOMEONE didn't get a gm this morning.

the gm pioneers were a positive contribution to the culture but much like every other crypto meta, it got beaten to death

GM replies got me into a lot of doors 🚪

I think GM is more than what you are talking about (even though locally you are right), it will be here in tens of years.
